Tahir has a BS Degree in Political Science and Business Administration from Central Michigan University. He has 38 years of experience working with Family Businesses and multiple financial institutions. He attended many leadership and banking training courses in the United States, the UK, Holland, and across the Middle East.
Tahir spent most of his career working with Saudi Banks where he held several positions, the last of which is the General Manager of Saudi Hollandi Bank – Western region. He oversaw the Corporate Banking Group, Private Banking Group, and Personal Banking Group).
From March 2008 – June 2012, Tahir was the CEO and Board Member of Saudi Hollandi Capital. From 2011 to 2016, Tahir was a board member, Chairman, and Vice Chairman for several well-known companies (e.g., Dar Al-Tamleek Mortgage Housing Finance Company,
ABN-Amro Bank, etc.). He also chaired the Audit and Risk Committees of some of these companies.
He supervised the development or enhancement of the corporate governance structure for several organizations and family businesses and has volunteered in various CSR programs.
Tahir currently acts as the Chairman/Vice Chairman and board member in different financial and non-financial institutions Including ICD (Islamic Corporation for the Development of the Private Sector), Mohammad Yousef Naghi Group, Tamwily International, Arabian Food Supplies, Egyswiss Company (Egypt), KSB Capital Group, Roots Group Arabia, and others.
